The aim of the Disneyland® Resort Paris 12–14 years Business Basics Workbook is to reinforce learning in:
- ICT
- Modern Foreign Languages
- And introduce some principles of Business Studies
- All activities can be completed individually or as a group

Pre/Post Visit Work
Disneyland Resort Paris offers the opportunity to introduce many business studies basics.
As well as exploring customer surveys you could investigate:
- A basic SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats)
- Cross promotion through the on-site in-room television channel
- The Resort's on-site links with other multi national companies
such as Coca-Cola, Hasbro, Kellogg's, Kodak etc
Curriculum Links
Although Business Studies is not a subject on the 12-14 year syllabus, the Resort is the ideal place to introduce many Business Studies principles including:
- People at work
- The marketing mix (price, place, people, promotion)
- Promotion
- Synergy

Disneyland Resort Paris offers countless additional opportunities for education, here are a few ideas you may like to explore:
Modern Foreign Languages
- Communicating in pairs and groups – in groups, discuss which you think will be your favourite attractions in the Resort, including why you have chosen them. Repeat the discussion following the visit – have you still chosen the same attractions? If not, why have your views changed?

Extension projects to do in the Resort
- Modern Foreign Languages: in pairs, discuss in French the food that is on offer in the Resort. Try to find some examples of French foods; this could be as simple as French bread or as complicated as one of the French style meals in a restaurant. All the restaurants have menus outside so you don't have to go inside to find out.
