Business Basics Teachers' Notes

ICT

Disneyland Paris offers countless opportunities for pupils to find, develop, analyse and present information.

By using the Business Basics Workbook in the Resort, students will discover:

  • The information needed to solve a problem, complete a task or answer a question
  • Collecting and entering quantitative and qualitative information
  • Analysing and evaluating information
  • Communicating and exchanging information
  • Evaluating uses of ICT to help develop and improve their ideas and the quality of their work

Through the Workbook's "Maths and Budgets Project" students will research notes for the personal and family budgets and complete them in Excel on their return to the UK.

Whilst in the Resort, students can also investigate:

  • Finding things out: how to obtain information by selecting appropriate sources through research into theme parks on the Internet
  • Exchanging and sharing information through the production of an electronic diary or Resort guide using a range of ICT tools back at school
