Design and Technology

Disneyland Paris offers countless opportunities for pupils to discover how practical and technological skills combine with creative thinking.

By using the Parades and Shows Workbook in the Resort, students will explore essential skills and processes in design and technology. Through the Workbook's "Costume Project" and "Stage Show Project" students will learn about:

  • Design and making
  • Aesthetic and environmental implications of design
  • The link between the principles of good design, existing solutions and technological knowledge
  • Exploring ideas, materials, technologies and techniques

Whilst in the Resort, students can also investigate:

  • The use of materials in parade and show design
  • The evolution of moving pictures shown through the displays in the Art of Disney Animation® - students can even create their own works of art
  • How the design and technology behind the movies has changed over the years by visiting CinéMagique
